About the Literacy Center

The Saratoga Springs Literacy Center is a program providing free reading tutoring to children in Saratoga Springs. The tutoring staff is comprised of volunteers, including the director of the program. Tutoring is provided at the Saratoga Springs Library during hours when the library is closed to the public. This allows the Literacy Center to use all of its limited funds to provide materials for the enrichment of the students.

With the goal of expanding the program and employing a part-time coordinator, the Literacy Center is seeking donations. In conjunction with Saratoga Splash, we will have the “Race for Reading 5K and Family Fun Run” on Saturday, June 9, 2012, with all proceeds benefitting the Literacy Center.

Your company can help us by becoming a sponsor. We are seeking monetary donations, as well as goods that will be awarded as prizes. For your sponsorship, you will receive publicity in a variety of ways. Please see Sponsorship Opportunities page.

The Literacy Center is an important service for Saratoga Springs. This is a great opportunity to make your company’s name visible at this huge community event. We appreciate your support and generosity in making it a success!

Sincerely,

Corrine Prestwich
